☢️ URANIUM, DEUTERIUM, TRITIUM & THORIUM: TOWARDS MULTIPOLARITY ☢️

☢️ URANIUM, DEUTERIUM, TRITIUM & THORIUM: TOWARDS MULTIPOLARITY ☢️

One of the most important instrument in the Geopolitics and Balance of Power is the nuclear weapons and advanced industry. Some analysts argue that there is more nuclear risk today than in the Missile Wars of the 1960s (Scott Ritter). Perhaps this is because today's generations do not know the real consequences of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, they only know them from books. In 1960, World War II was closer and the fear was fresher. Nowadays, all only looks as a fantasy movie.

Nevertheless, sometimes, countries has already used tactical nuclear bombs (based on non official sources). The problem is that people don't realize it because they imagine Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, they were strategic nuclear weapons. Tactical ones are less identifiable by the media and allow for easy destruction. Due to above, uranium will be the new exchange currency in military and hard power terms.

The top 10 main producing countries are: Kazakhstan, Canada, Namibia, Australia, Uzbekistan, Russia, Niger, China, India and Ukraine. While some belongs to or are pro BRICS+, other are one some kind of conflict. In fact, Russia is considering some restrictions on exports to the Western world.

Perhaps the importance of uranium is not limited to its military role. Technological industries are considering creating their own nuclear power plants because there is not enough supply. Even in an energy efficiency scenario, many industries would want to adopt such measures. Uranium is clean, safe and efficient. In addition, other forms may be on the plateau such as thorium (fission of uranium-233).

In this sense, the graph shows the correlations in the profitability of uranium with other commodities. It es based on monthly data of 5 years (Sept 2019 to Sept 2024). If expectations are that uranium could be relevant in the next decade, it is important to know its interactions. Finally, it should be noted that, like any asset with bullish trend, it could have significant losses.
