Copper is a critical metal that is used in a wide variety of applications, including electrical wiring, construction, and electronics. Any basic or advanced industry needs of this, especially if multipolarity will be the system in many years. According with many sources, the total production estimations of the 15 main countries in 2022 was:

The most important to underline is the great power of Latin America on this metal. LATAM controls the ± 47% of production and Africa the ± 16%. The openly pro-USA countries (USA, Australia, Poland and Canada) controls ± 15% of total. This means that 85% are outside the traditional order.
In other hand, BRICS controls 18% of total. If this alliance gains support in Africa and spreads its influence, the pro-China bloc would control ± 33% of copper. The fight for commodities started and this is one basic in any logic of power, and LATAM could also be relevant.
