馃獤馃敆 GLOBAL MILITARIZATION: WORLD WAR OR SOCIAL REPRESSION? 馃敆馃獤

Although it hasn't been officially announced, we are technically in a world war. Perhaps those who are more adept at the term may not yet consider it because the major powers (the US, China, Russia, or Europe) haven't intervened directly. However, regional proxy wars reflect their struggle behind the scenes.

It's likely that in less than a decade, the superpowers will inevitably clash. In that sense, government and media propaganda (perception management) is aligned with the goal of increasing public spending on military weapons. In fact, at least in the United States and Europe, many laws focus on controlling everything and implementing martial law. But... could there be something more?

What no one says is that the above could be just the preamble to social repression. Governments need social fear to accept militarization in each country, but the real objective is not to fight other superpowers, but to suppress any social movement against social control or impoverishment. In fact, many government weapons are more effective for social control than for fighting a nuclear or thermobaric power.

In the past, governments have not hesitated to repress and kill civilians. Examples include the Russian massacre of its population thanks to Communism, the Chinese government's Tiananmen Square massacre, the Mexican government's Tlatelolco massacre, the protests in France in the 1960s, the Kent State Shootings, and many more. In a world shifting toward absolutism and state interventionism, the past will repeat itself.

The chart shows the margins of the major security and defense companies. Many of them are government suppliers. Especially those in the US, their weapons are specifically designed to sell and win small wars (with low- or middle-income countries), civil wars or to repress populations or commit genocide, but not to win against China or Russia, for example. Companies with weapons for a real war between powers are not usually listed. Finally, if the bullets of repression have not reached the investor, this could be a sector worth considering in this era of state absolutism.

The best analysis is yours!
