💵🧊 GREENLAND: HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? 🧊💵

The US is eager to acquire more territory. As Joel Padilla analyzed, Venezuela, Cuba, and Greenland will fall [ https://jjplindex.blogspot.com/2025/12/el-nuevo-orden-mundial-esta-ya-ordenado.html ]. Due to NATO and USA/EU alliance, it is less likely that they will invade territories like Venezuela or Cuba; unless NATO and the EU are weakened (they will be eliminated beforehand, but not now). Therefore, the US will most likely try to buy Greenland from Denmark to disguise an annexation that is practically complete (neither Denmark nor NATO/EU have power against USA), in a operation similar to the buy of Louisiana or Alaska in S. XIX.

Method by Past Offers

In 1868, the US offered to Denmark $5,500,000 and 1946, $100,000,000 in pure gold. Based on the above, from 1869 to 1946, the supply increased by 1718% (3.79% annually over 78 years). On the other hand, if we consider the price of gold from $35 per ounce in 1946 to $4,500 in 2026, this represents an increase of 12,757% (6.26% annually over 80 years). Therefore, the 1946 proposal would be equivalent to ≈ $12,870,000,000 USD or ≈ 2.860,042 oz of gold today (January 9, 2026).

Method by Future Value

Given $12,870,000,000 USD as current value, the future value is the sum of expected inflation along the time. If is taken a rate of 5% annual inflation during 100 years, the future value and current valuation will be $1,692,400,000,000 USD

Method by Sum of Resources

Greenland is relevant because it has water, oil, gas, rare earths and an excellent position towards Russia, the Arctic and various maritime routes. Furthermore, it would be useful in collateralizing the US debt plan [ https://jjplindex.blogspot.com/2026/01/commodities-financial-collateral.html ].

Based on many sources, Greenland has:
- Oil: 17,500 millions of barrels (USGS, 2008) * $75 USD = $1,350,000,000,000 USD
- Gas: 148,000 millions of cubic feet (USGS, 2008) * $0.0026 USD cubic ft = $384,800,000,000 USD
- Minerals and Rare Earth Elements = $2,700,000,000,000 (Geological survey of Denmark and Greenland, 2024)
- Fishing = $15,000,000,000 (Statistics Greenland, 2023)
- Water = 10% of global freshwater reserves (Greenland Ice and Water Strategy, 2021)

In that sense, the sum of the current valuations of natural resources could provide an approximation. At least, the Greenland values might be > $4,500,000,000,000 USD (more or less aligned with the ideas from Jensen & Ashton, 2025, Pricing Greenland: The Essence of the Deal - AAF )

Method by Real Estate

If Greenland is seen as a big land, each m2 must have a value. Alberta (Canada), and Iceland are comparable areas based on their geopolitical positions and exploitation potential of natural resources. On average, the land prices are:
- Iceland: $1-$14 USD/m² by rural plots, however, it can be $150-$300 USD/m2 if is considered as a urban or luxury land
- Canada (Alberta): $10-$215 USD/m² in rural/outlaying or $136-$161 USD/m² if is considered as a industrial land
- Greenland (usage rights): $2.700-$3,700 USD/m² for urbanized areas

Greenland has 2,166,086 km². If is considered an average rural price of $5 USD by m², their potential value could be ≈ $10,830,430,000,000 USD

Method by Buying Loyalties and Financing Separatist Movements

Greenland has 57,000 inhabitants. If each person receives $100,000 to convince them to belong to US territory and obtain citizenship, the investment would be $5,700,000,000 USD. However, 20% of the population could be decisive in this policy (following the Pareto Principle), and would therefore receive triple the amount for favoring US decisions (including Danish officials). This would add $2,280,000,000 USD to the initial budget.

The final acquisition price would be approximately $8,000,000,000 USD. This would contemplate services of intelligence and counterintelligence typical of CIA/MOSSAD/MI6 (they will benefit from it). A genocide perpetrated by them would not be considered as they are doing in Gaza and the West Bank; hence the peaceful purchase. If they were to do so, the costs would decrease, which is why they are doing it with Palestine, since its price would be prohibitive given its resources and strategic location.

Method by Contribution to GDP

The expected GDP for Denmark in 2025 is $459,610,000,000 USD (IMF). If a proposal for Greenland is to pay maximum the 20% of GDP expectations, this would be $91,922,000,000 USD. Currently, Greenland does not contribute directly to Denmark's GDP due to its autonomy. However, comparatively speaking, Greenland's GDP could represent approximately 1% of Denmark's GDP.

Summarizing

The US expected GDP in 2025 is $30,600,000,000,000 USD. Comparing the figures above as a proportion of GDP, the final result would be:
- Past offers: $12,870,000,000 USD (0.0420% of US GDP)
- Future value: $1,692,400,000,000 USD (5.53% of US GDP)
- Sum of resources: $4,500,000,000,000 USD (14.70% of US GDP)
- Real Estate: $10,830,430,000,000 USD (35.40% of US GDP)
- Buying Loyalties and Financing Separatist Movements: $8,000,000,000 USD (0.0261% of US GDP)
- Contribution to GDP: $91,922,000,000 USD (0.3003% of US GDP)

The average of the amounts is $2,855,965,000,000 USD. That is 9.47% of US expected GDP in 2025. Presumably, the maximum offer that USA would make would be less than 10% of its GDP, that is, < $3,000,000,000,000 USD. It might even be no more than 5% of GDP ($1,530,000,000,000 USD) if Europe is considered to be on the verge of civil wars [ https://jjplindex.blogspot.com/2025/10/world-war-or-social-repression.html], technological backwardness, and the collapse of the European Union... Perhaps the euro's collapse and the dollarization of Europe in exchange for doing nothing?

The best analysis is yours!
